We share in the grief and loss, in the passing of our long time friend and neighbor, Helene. We were more than neighbors, we were family. Momma Nancy and her children, were gifts from God. They were the village that help raise and provide for my children. I am forever greatful for Helene and all of her family. Our prayers and love are with all of you during your time of grief.

I was Helene's first Godchild, but she treated me like I was her child. We shared many wonderful times together. I thank God for allowing me to share in her most precious moments towards the end. I pray she is at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus.

I was Helene's first Godchild, but was treated like, the child she never had. We shared many wonderful times together. I always tried to be there for her, like she was for me. I thank God for allowing me to be there on her last day. Although I will miss her presence, I pray that she is at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus.

Absence from this earth means present with the Lord. My deepest sympathies. When I was a little girl I used to stay with Aunt Nancy on Filmore St. but I never had the honor of meeting her daughter. I have fond memories of Aunt Evelyn's Sweet Shop, Uncle Sack, Helene and Verene. . I know that this is a difficult time but know that you all are having a way prepared for you; so look forward to meeting up with Major Helene for a life that will be eternal.
