Henry G. Hodge III

1939 - 2016

Henry (Hank) Hodge passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 77, on December 19, 2016. He was born on July 6, 1939 in Meridian, Mississippi. He resided in Metairie for the past 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Dunham Hodge and two children, son, Darrin Christopher Hodge (Kellie) and daughter, Robin Hodge. He leaves behind two grandchildren, Mitchell James Hodge and Morgan Elizabeth Hodge. He is survived by his sister Margaret Hodge Fumar. Mr. Hodge was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hodge, Jr. and Margaret Tibbits Hodge. Hank was the owner of "Doody and Hank's Automotive Repair", in the Central Business District for 35 years. Hank was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed his two beautiful grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest and was happiest spending time with family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the family home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
