Henry McGrew Obituary

McGREW Henry Caldwell McGrew Henry C. McGrew was born in Shelbyville, TN on August 10, 1920 to the late Juanita Fontaine McGrew and Joseph Henry McGrew. He died on June 23, 2010. Henry was a resident of New Orleans for over 50 years and a resident of NC for the last 3 decades. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margery Jo Anderson, and his second wife, Mary Sue Roddey. He is survived by his brother Samuel, his son, Eric, and his wife, Willy, of Bowdon, GA, son Daren and his wife, Linda of Charlotte, NC, son Justin of Lake Wylie, SC, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Mr. McGrew was a decorated veteran who served as a Marine Corps pilot, flying Corsairs in the South Pacific during WWII. He owned McGrew Construction Company in New Orleans, LA. After he dedicated his life to Christ, he retired from the construction industry and served in ministry with Christian Business Men's Committee in the Carolinas. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 3rd at Grace Covenant Church in Charlotte, NC.
