Losing someone that we love never comes easy. It is truly heartbreaking. May God's promises in Isaiah 65:17 comfort and help you.

Chris was a wonderful person. My sister Debi and I grew up next door to the Christenberrys on Gull St. They were family to us. For many years, I rode to St. Pius and then to Jesuit with Mr. Christenberry and then Chris in the station wagon. Those rides were great learning experiences. I have wonderful memories of playing basketball in the Christenberry's back yard, football in the street and baseball in the park with Chris and talking with him about almost everything. His death comes too soon. He made great contributions to New Orleans and to all who knew him. My condolences to Drew, Cindy, Miss Ann and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Chris.

I was married to Chris for 5 years and even though we were divorced, we still loved each other. He was my soulmate and I was his. Neither one of us ever remarried. We had just talked on Monday before he passed on Friday and were planning on getting together on Saturday. My heart is broken into a million pieces and my tears are flowing. I love you my baby. Save a place in Heaven for me.

Chris was a sweetheart. He always found a way to make me laugh. When I had my stroke and couldn't speak well, he would call me with a word for the day. The first word for me to say was Chattanooga Choo Choo.. I'll miss you my friend. I've missed you coming to see me in Magistrate Court. Much love
