Horace Russell Davis

Horace Russell Davis, 76, died July 22, 2015 at St. Luke's Living Center in New Orleans, LA after a lengthy Illness. He was born on December 21, 1938 in St. Louis, MO. As the third child of the late Barnett and Lillian Evans Davis. A 1957 graduate of Magnolia Sr. High School. He worked until he retired for health reasons. He was a resident of New Orleans, LA for the past 36 years where he lived and enjoyed his life with his beloved wife, Climer Davis. Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are: his wife, Climer B. Davis; three daughters, Constance R. Walker, Debra D. Davis, and Harriett (Joseph) Panchoo; Three sons, Kenneth M. (Lessie) Davis, Jabari A. and Lateef A. Davis; Two sisters, Verneeda G. Sayles and E. Cecil Washington; Two brothers, Levernon M. Davis and Arsane (Judy) Washington; Four sisters-in-law, Angenetta (Robert) Bailey, Loretta (Joseph) Adams, Sharrell Powell and Kimberly Washington; Two brothers-in-law, Oliver C. and Leo M. Bailey Sr.; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Deloris and Kenny Washington. A service will be held Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Dominion and Power Ministries, 1525 Lapalco Blvd, Harvey, LA 70058 at 11:00 am, viewing starts at 10:00 am., Bishop Jerry Henry, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Cemetery in Avondale, La.
