Irene Marguerite Hebert

Irene Marguerite Hebert, born November 12, 1914, passed away at the age of 103 on June 20, 2018. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Gloria (late Melvin) Keller, Leonard (Mary) Hebert, Frankie (Ronnie) Triche, Margaret (Talmage) Reid, Harry (Sylvia) Hebert, JoAnn (Nicky) Bonura, Brenda (Edward) Perret, Gary (Yvonne) Hebert, Glenn (Rhonda) Hebert, Robert Hebert, Larry (Susan) Paul, Sharon (Marcel) Carmouche, Debra Gaudin, Julie (Ricky) Creed, John Hebert, James (Karen) Hebert, Paul (Sharon) Hebert, Joan (Jeff) Ownsby, Byron (Billie Jo) Hebert, John David (Laura) Hebert, Patricia (late Allen) Carambat, P.J. (Fran) Breaud, Sheila (John) Best, Cindy B. Daigle, and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arcema and Zolema Hebert, and siblings, Ray, Roy, Baby Boy, Roland, Russel, and Rodgers Hebert, Della Hebert, Mae Constantine, Mildred Block, Iva McPhillips, Jessie Hebert, and Joyce Breaud, she is also preceded in death by nieces and nephews, Elizabeth McPhillips, Rosalie Mire, Louise Lyons, Peter Constantine, Margaret Cazeux, Gwen Breaud, and her godchild, Rev. Monsignor Ray P. Hebert. Irene graduated from Destrehan High School, upon graduation she worked as an intern for Sheriff Guidry, after her time there she worked for Wesco. She retired from Shell after 35 years of dedicated service, and worked for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan and transferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco upon its formation. She was a member and officer for the Altar Ladies of Sacred Heart of Norco. Irene helped rear her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and was loved dearly by all of them. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA, on Monday, June 25, 2018 beginning at 9:30 AM.
