MICHEL Irma Cambre Michel died on Monday, March 24, 2008, 1:15 a.m. at St. James Parish Hospital, Lutcher, LA. Age 88 years. She was a Catholic, native of Garyville, LA. and a resident of Gramercy for the past 60 years. Survivors include: 2 Sons Lawrence J. (wife, Kathleen) Michel, Jr., and Michael J. (wife, Rose) Michel both of Grand Point, LA.; 2 Daughters: Mrs. Linette M. Decareaux of Lutcher, LA. and Mrs. Mary Catherine Bourgeois of Gramercy. Also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 35 Great-Grandchildren Preceded in death by husband Lawrence J. (Guyan) Michel, Sr.; Parents: Harris and Clementine Fourroux Cambre; Brothers: Henry, Lance, Melvin, Frank, Louis, James and Albert; Sisters: Cecile Gonzales and Alberta Mashon. Visitation at Alexander Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 9:00 a.m until 10:30 a.m. Funeral Services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina on Wednesday, March 26. 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Clergy: Fr. Frank Uter. Interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Her Grandsons will be Pallbearers. She was a loving and caring Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed crochet and cross stitching.
