Jack DiLorenzo Obituary

DiLORENZO Jack J. DiLorenzo passed from this life to be with his heavenly father on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Ochsner Hospital after a recent cancer diagnosis. He was born in New Orleans on March 7, 1941 where he resided into his adulthood, later moving to Slidell. He was a graduate of Tulane University and employed as an Aerospace Engineer for over 20 years at the Michoud Facility. He was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. His hobbies included fitness training at the Slidell Athletic Club and participating in the mall walking program and breakfast club at Northshore Mall. He was the Son of the late Emile Dilorenzo and Anna Compagno Dilorenzo and nephew of the late Joseph Compagno, Nicholas J. Compagno Sr. and Rita L. Compagno. He is survived by his cousins Nicholas J. Compagno Jr. (Caroyln) and Frank G. Compagno (Pamela) and their multiple family members. He is also survived by his companion Bonnie Strong. His wishes were for family members and friends to remember the happy memories they shared in life and not the sorrow of passing.

First met Jack when my family and I moved right across the street from him in Slidell. He will be remembered as a very kind and gentle person. Always willing to help when he could. I was very surprised to hear of his passing especially just across the street from him. My wholehearted condolences to his remaining relatives and Ms. Bonnie. Frank Reyes & Family
