Janay Marie Williams, age 35, was born on August 23, 1987, in New Orleans, LA departed this earthly home on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Janay completed her education in the New Orleans Public School System. She worked in the Hospitality industry as a Domestic Servant for many years. She was the loving mother of a beautiful son Troy Rydel Harris Jr., who is being raised by his Godfather Eddie "Eddie Boy" Robinson. Beloved daughter of Carolyn Williams and Robert Williams. Devoted sister of Schawanda Williams, Alvin and Robert Williams, and Rodney Bazley III. In Loving Memory of her surviving grandmother Evelyn W. Taylor, aunt Geraldine Matthew, and uncles Larry, Michael, David, Johnny Williams, and her Godsister Rachel Thomas, as well as her Godmother Terry Woods. She also leaves in her memory is her nieces Tedjanay and Ciara Mitchell, Breylle and Demi Williams, and her nephews Mckenzie Fair, Burnell Wilson III, and Brice and Robert Jr. Williams, and Rodney Bazley IV., and her lifelong friend C. She was preceded in death by her two aunts, Angela "Blackie" Williams and Patricia W. Vessel; one uncle Charles Williams; two grandfathers August Taylor and James Moore. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment: Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003.
