I had the pleasure of knowing Jason from middle school through part of high school. When I started high school I had very few friends at Grace King and Jason and I were in the same gym class together. He was probably one of my first high school friends post-Katrina. We served together on student council and took honors courses together. Jason was a natural leader and someone I looked up to. I was reflecting on my time at King and wanted to see what Jason was up to, so naturally I googled him. It is with deepest sympathy and sincere regret that I have found that he has passed away. Jason was truly a great guy and good friend. He always encouraged me to go outside my comfort zone, which may have gotten me in a little trouble, but was worth it in the end. Jason had an outstanding leadership quality about him, that I know would have served him well in his career. We fell out of touch with one another after he transferred to a different high school, but I will always remember our times at King. God Bless.
