Jean Ducoing

1943 - 2022

We are sad to announce the passing of Jean Marie Heirsch Ducoing, age 79, at her home surrounded by family in Metairie, Louisiana on December 14th, 2022. She was born on August 15, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Thomas Heirsch, Jr. and Dorothy Robichaux Heirsch. Jean graduated from Redemptorist High School in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1961. More commonly referred to as "Nonnie", she was a devoted Catholic whose love and devotion to her family, including her beloved dog, Toby, knew no bounds. Jean is survived by her loving husband, Sturges Ducoing; her son, Derek Ducoing, and his daughter Tristan Ducoing; her stepson, Dean Ducoing and his wife Rachel Ducoing, and their children Candice, Erica, and Blake Ducoing. A one-hour visitation is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with mass following on Saturday, December 24th at Greenwood Funeral Home.
