Jessica Vy Nguyen

NGUYEN Jessica Vy Nguyen, beloved daughter of Mr. Thang Nguyen and Mrs. Hao Tra and loving sister to Binh Nguyen and Billy Nguyen, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2008 at University Hospital. Jessica was born on February 10, 1989 in New Orleans, LA. Loved ones left to cherish her memory are maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Mai Tra, her aunts Ly Nguyen, Holly Tra, Hien Tra, Kim Lien Tra, her uncles Anh Nguyen, Cao Nguyen, Chien Nguyen, Toan Nguyen, Huynh Nguyen, Hoang Nguyen, Khai Nguyen, Hieu Tra, Hau Tra, Vu Tra, Truong Tra, and cousins Julie Vo, Lily Vo and Tina Vo. She will also be missed by a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jessica had many accomplishments in her short time. She was Valedictorian of Belle Chasse High School and was a scholarship recipient. She was a sophomore at Xavier University with specialty in dentistry and was on the Dean's list. She was involved in many school activities at Xavier. She also was an active member of Church Youth Group. Her smiling face, cheerful and loving personality are seen throughout her beautiful paintings. Reading, painting, and singing were her favorite hobbies. She will never be forgotten and we will truly miss her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on November 20th and 21th, 2008 (Thursday and Friday) from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday morning at St. Agnes Le Thi Thanh Catholic Church, 6851 8th Street, Marrero La. for 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
