Jimmy Menesses

MENESSES Jimmy Menesses passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the age of 65. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Linda Vincent Menesses. Loving father of Wendy Gonzales (Tim), James "Bubba" Menesses (Stacey) and Stacy Campo (Robert). Proud grandfather of Matthew & Joshua Menesses, Amanda Isbell, Dalton & Faith Gonzales. Step-grandfather of Robert, Zachary & Nicholas Campo. Brother of Rickey Menesses (Angela). He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Brown Menesses and James Menesses; his sister Diane Nunez, and his dear grandchildren Terry & Rose Gonzales. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jimmy was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed a long career as a commercial fisherman and an honored member of the Carpenters Local Union 1846. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who were touched by his love and laughter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, February 15th from 10:00AM - 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00PM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
