GOSS John D. Goss III a retired carpenter, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of the late Rose Mary Mayfield Goss. Son of the late John D. Goss, Jr. and Grady Lucille Kirkfield Goss. Father of Russell Marcel (Wife Peggy), Larry Marcel, Janet Mayeux (Husband Wayne), Joseph Marcel (Wife Donna), Huey Marcel, Jr. (Wife Debra) and the late Thomas Marcel (Survived by wife, Jean). Grandfather of Cory Marcel, Larry Marcel, Jr., Terrie Franck, Cheryl Villere, Huey Marcel III, Sharon Oser, Melissa Mayeux, Sherry Dennis and the late Russell Marcel, Jr. and Michelle Marie Marcel. Also survived by a host of Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Brother of Yvonne Lathan, James Goss, Frances Lander, Robert Goss and the late Lynn Viola. John was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Avondale, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 9:00 AM until 1:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Avon-dale, LA.
