John L. McLeod, age 83, on Thursday, March 30, 2006. Beloved husband of Edna Scheuermann McLeod. Loving father of Stephen John, James Patrick and Barbara Eileen McLeod. Grandfather of Christine McLeod Frisby, Stephen John Jr., Thomas John and Michael Andrieu McLeod. Great grandfather of Chase C. Frisby and Sophia Renee McLeod. Son of the late William Smith McLeod and Mary Rabennack McLeod. Brother of the late Mildred McLeod Barlotta and Norbert L. and Edward W. McLeod. Father-in-law of Kathleen McLeod. Mr. McLeod was retired from the Bell System after 42 years of service. He served with the US Marines during WWII and Korea. He was a member of American Legion Post 137, V.F.W. Post 3267, Paul E. Boyd Detachment of the Marine Corps League, The 1st Marine Division Assn. and ""The Chosin Few''.He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA for the past 56 years. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA, near Clearview Pkwy, on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in Lakelawn Cemetery.
