John J. Ruiz Jr.

1958 - 2018

John J. Ruiz, Jr. passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was 60. He loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing was his passion. He was one of the founding members of Greensburg Hunting Club and a proud member for 17 years. He also was passionate about his LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, and also loved a good bar room. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Stanislaus and Ezilda Simoneaux, and his father John J. Ruiz, Sr. He leaves behind his mother Mary Gloria Ruiz, his siblings, Mary (Dennis), Pam (Mike), Angie, Pat and Mike (Sutton) and his six nieces and nephews and a great nephew and a great niece. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 10021 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA and the visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church.
