John Lawrence Satterlee

SATTERLEE John Lawrence Satterlee, age 50, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 of a massive heart attack. John was born August 15, 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Elizabeth Ann Smith Satterlee and the late Kent Satterlee, Jr. He and his family have resided on the Northshore since 2003. He was the beloved husband of Mary Salatich Satterlee for eight years and is survived by one daughter, Blakely Ryan Satterlee; two sons: Ethan Daniel Satterlee and Holden Alexander Satterlee; three sisters: Cynthia Satterlee Harlan (Michael), Mary Satterlee Andreeff (Dane) and Allison Marie Satterlee Gough; three brothers: Kent Satterlee III (Ann), Stephen Thomas Satterlee (Anne) and Scott George Satterlee; 14 nieces/nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He attended St. Stanislaus School in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and graduated from De La Salle High School in New Orleans. He attended Louisiana State University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. After leaving college, Mr. Satterlee pursued a professional career in medical sales. He earned numerous honors and awards for excellence in sales and gained national recognition for his outstanding performance. John lived life to the fullest. He loved his family, he loved his friends and most of all he loved the Lord. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Memorial Services at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Highway 1085 Covington, Louisiana, 70433, with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00am. Immediately following will be a reception in the church fellowship hall. Interment will follow at the Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery at 3:30pm.
