John Edward Seibert, 58, of Topeka, died on February 14, 2018 at Countryside Health Center.
He was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 19, 1959 the son of John and Barbara Ann (Schiffelbein) Seibert. He was a 1978 graduate of Hayden High School.
Ed worked for General Printing and had most recently worked as a stock person for Walmart.
He loved watching sports especially Kansas State and loved cars.
Ed is survived by his father, John Seibert of Rossville, and his siblings, Cheryl (Jerry) Jones, Phyllis (Joe) Gaines, Paula (Doug) Gartner and Tim Seibert all of Topeka as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ed will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Sr. Corita’s Sandwich Ministry and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ed passing. I met Ed probably 35 years ago and had many conversations with him. I ran into him when I went to Walmart and we'd talk about old times. R. I. P. Ed!

So sorry to hear about Eddie we were good friends in high school but soon after graduation we lost touch I ran into him last year at Wal-Mart and we talked for quite awhile he was a good man and my prayers go out to the family

So very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I had been asking around about him for the last few years, but nobody knew why his visits to the shop had stopped. His old friends from GP will continue to miss him. His heart was always in the right place and his loyalty to his job was unfaltering.
