John Kenneth Young, Jr. born in New Orleans, LA., entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the age of 52. He was the beloved husband of Shontell Robinson Young. Son of Diane Young Mercadel and the late John Kenneth Young Sr. Amazing father to John Eldric Young (Nateasha), Jona Young, Jada Scott, Treon Florant, Devon Young, Devrey Young, and Shaunell Nicole Young. Brother to Keisha Young. Son-in-law to Veronica Foxworth (Michael), and Henry Robinson, Jr., brother-in-law to Shaunell Kennard and Henry Robinson, III (Char). Grandfather to three loving grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his grandparents Walbert and Melba Mercadel, Emmanuel and Marion Young, and his siblings Byron Young, Nicole Young, and Shawn Young. John is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's Homegoing Celebration on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Gentilly Baptist Church, 5141 Franklin Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122.
