Johnny Wilson, Jr., age 77, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at his home. Mr. Wilson was born on September 23, 1946 to the late Johnny, Sr. and Lucille Wilson. He served his country in the United State Army and later retired as an Iron Worker with Boh Brothers Construction. Survivors include his wife, Judy Knight Wilson; children, Keisha Causey, Tracy Thomas (Carlos), Lisa Smith, Angela Jones, Tanya Williams (James), Darryl Desselle, Jules and John Knight; sister, Barbara Ruffin (John); Godchild, Nakia Matthews; several grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Johnny is also preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, a son, Johnny Wilson, III and son in law, Trydell M. Causey, Sr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Johnny Wilson, Jr., will be held at Greater Asia Baptist Church, 3708 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans. LA 70122 on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11 am. Interment will be held at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA at a later date. Visitation 10 am in the church.
