Johnny Wise Sr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the age of 88; Beloved husband of Anna Mae Ruiz Wise; Son of the late Mathew and Lilly Wise Sr.; Son in Law of the late Harold and Lillian Ruiz; Father of Patricia and Brian (Paula) Wise, Amy W. Henry, Katherine W. (Michael) Moore, Karen W. Dawson Taylor, the late Johnny Wise Jr. and Marsha W. (Mitchell) Ervin; Brother of Ophelia Dabney, Gustavia Jones, and Cecelia Patterson. Father in law of Deborah K. Wise and Brother in law of Joyce Thomas. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 10 great- great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Wise is also preceded in death by 1 grandson, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, Officers, and members of Little Zion B.C., Virginia B.C. of Ewellville, LA, St. Peter Claver C.C., Greater St. Stephen FGBC, Abundant Life Church, New Isreal B.C., Employees of the U.S. Postal Service (Gretna, Rondeno and MLK station of Houston, TX). are all invited to attend the Funeral Service at Little Zion Baptist Church – 4821 Earhart Blvd. NOLA, on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10:00 am; Visitation will begin at 8:00 am; Interment: St. Louis #2 Cemetery; Arrangements by DW Rhodes Funeral Home, New Orleans, LA; Please visit www.rhodesfuneral.com to sign the guest book.
