Jorge Alberto Rodriguez

Jorge Alberto Rodriguez passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of the late Francia Nunez Rodriguez; loving father of Suyapa Chauvin (David) and Franzelia Meadors (the late George, Jr.); doting grandfather of Gabriella Chauvin, Alaina Meadors, George Meadors, III, and Julie Meadors; and brother of Julia Georgina Rodriguez and Irma Nelly Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Jorge was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He graduated from college, and worked for the U.S. Embassy in Honduras. He moved to New Orleans in 1968, and began a very successful sales career in the automobile industry. However, Jorge truly enjoyed his second career as a brake tag inspector for the City of Kenner. He had a deep life-long passion to serve others, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 2402 33rd St. in Kenner, on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:00AM. A private interment will take place at Lake Lawn Park.
