Joseph Anthony Obituary

Joseph "Diamond Joe" Gerard Anthony passed away on April 20, 2021 at the age of 60. He was born on May 29, 1960 in New Orleans. He was a real character to be around, and his passing leaves a gaping hole in this world. We will love and miss you, Jo-Jo, brother, and Uncle Joe. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vera Marie Baham and Thomas Anthony. He is survived by his sister, Denise Marie Anthony; his two brothers, Thomas Gordon and Robert Louis Anthony; and his nephew, Christopher Aaron Anthony. The family would like to give special thanks to Volunteers of America and especially to the staff and residents of Iberville. They gave "Jo-Jo" many years of patient and loving care. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we do kindly ask that all guest in attendance wear a face mask. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Volunteers of America in Joe's honor.
