Joseph Blaise Sr.

Joseph Blaise, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at his residence at the age of 87. He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Verrett, Louisiana, where he served as a faithful and dedicated Usher until his health begin to declined. Beloved son of the late Louis Blaise, Sr. and Eva Carter. Loving husband of the late Gladys McFarland. Father of Joseph Jr, and Bryan Blaise, Gloria Hickerson, Milton Luter, Jacqueline Moore and Barbara Lyons. Brother of Ervin Sr., Louis, Nathan, Lodgia, and Yvette Blaise, Anita Bryan (Julius), Tricianita Smith (Randy), and the late Ernest, Burrnell, Evelyn and Geraldine Carter. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and good friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastors, Officers, and Members of First Baptist Church of Verrett, Louisiana and all neighboring churches of Plaquemine and St. Bernard Parishes, staff and employees of Brown Velvet and AJ Produce Companies are all invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Verrett, Louisiana on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Raymond Allen Smith, Pastor. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. (Until funeral time). Interment: First Baptist Church Cemetery, Verrett, LA.
