Joseph Bourda Obituary

Joseph Emile Bourda, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, MS on Thursday, November 28, 2002 at Veterans Administration Hospital. Beloved husband of Joyce Davis Bourda, Bay St. Louis, MS. Father of Frank, Kevin, Robert Bourda, Denise B. Cramer and Aileen B. Frashier. Son of the late Joseph E. and Cecielle Rodriguez Bourda. Brother of Helen Bourda, June B. Jones, Betty B. Georghegan and the late Estelle B. Klein. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and the late Wendy Michelle Lingo. Age 81 years. A native of New Orleans, LA, former resident of Slidell, LA and a resident of Bay St. Louis, MS since 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II in Germany. A member of the IBEW Local No. 130 in New Orleans for over 60 years. The American Legion Post 139 Bay St. Louis, MS and VFW Post 4808 Clairmont Harbor, MS and he was a parishioner of St. Clara's Catholic Church, Waveland, MS. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy and Word at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE BLVD. WEST (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 12:00 noon. Rev. Roel Lungay, Pastor, St. Genevieve Catholic Church - officiating. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Donations to your local Veterans of Foreign Wars or American Legion Posts preferred, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Slidell, LA.
