Joseph Harold "Joe" Sias

Joseph Harold Sias (Joe), 77 of New Orleans, LA, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Joe was born to Joseph Obra Sias and Jeanette Richard, both deceased. Joe's formal education was the result of Saint Emma's Military Academy, Powatan VA., Delaware State College (now Delaware State University) in Dover, DE., and American University, Washington DC. Throughout his multi-faceted career, Joe was fortunate to include in his resume, positions in both the private and public sectors of employment. As a result of his many experiences, Joe was an accomplished tradesman, with the proven ability to completely construct private residences from the ground up, almost single-handedly. Joe leaves to mourn, his spouse, Fareeda Saffee Sias of 46 years from Los Angeles, CA. Joe is survived by three sons and two daughters. They are Joe Cobb from Washington D.C., Sabrina Wilson (Corey) from Hampton, GA., Raymond Sias (Shannon) from Sacramento, CA, Cristel Sias from Bowie, MD., and Jason Sias (Kristina) from Sacramento, CA. Also surviving Joe are his grandchildren Ashley Jones (Fred) from Las Vegas NV., Joshua Mason from Washington DC., Corianna Wilson from Hampton GA. Naomi Sias from Sacramento CA., and 2 great-grandsons, Ashton and Aidan Jones from Las Vegas, NV. Joe was predeceased by his brother, Jason Sias. He leaves to mourn, a sister Janet Roberts (Fred) from New Orleans LA., and a brother Reginald Gibson (Yemesrach) from McLean VA. Following Joe's wishes, his remains were cremated in a private ceremony. A public memorial will be held at a date yet to be determined in Los Angeles, CA.
