Sherry, we are sadden by your loss. We are so sorry that we couldn't be there to share our sympathy and support, but know that you are in our prayers. Cling to all those wonderful memories you have of your father and keep him alive in your heart forever. Remember you can always find comfort in God's Holy words. The picture being shown of Unc is one that is true to life. To me, he always looked the same...very youthful in his appearance. He has been such a pillar in the Griffin family, especially after all his brothers were no more. He loved his children and Sherry was his little princess. I know he loved all of us but he had a very special relationship with the Griffin boys...loved himself some "nephews".
Longevity has definitely had its place in the Griffin Clan, and now we see the Griffin generational baton, being passed down to us, the grandchildren of E.B. Griffin, Sr. We can't fill their shoes, however, we CAN continue to uphold the values, morals and ethics that they instilled in us.
We can and we must continue to teach our fruit the history of the Griffin tree...let us not forget all that Grandma Missy, Poppa and all his siblings did to build the foundation upon which we stand, even today. Let's continue to exhibit the love that the Griffins had for one another, and for others, as well.
To my cousin, Sherry, please know that we all love you and are here for you. May the Lord strengthen and comfort you, in this hour of grief.
Rest in peace Unc!
Love,
"Niece" Christella
