Joyce Marie Doherty Reimonenq, age 63, entered the gates of eternal rest at her residence surrounded by love ones on Monday, August 21, 2017. She was a compassionate Orleans Parish Elementary Educator of 26 years. She was a graduate of St. Francisville High School Class of 1972. In 1977, she earned a Master's Degree from Xavier University of New Orleans, LA. The loving mother of Jena Reimonenq, Jules Reimonenq, and Jason Reimonenq; grandmother of Jaheim and Corey of New Orleans, LA. The beautiful daughter of Frank Doherty, Sr. and the late Cornelious Brown Doherty of Saint Francisville, LA; granddaughter of the late Thomas and Rosa Lee Brown; sister of Frank, Jr. (Gloria), Michael, Kevin (Ann) of Saint Francisville, LA; and David (Barbara) Philadelphia, PA; Velma Doherty Gilmore (Roosevelt) of Zachery, LA; and Carolyn Doherty of Saint Francisville, LA; godmother of Demetrice; niece of Emma Brown Smith of New Orleans, LA; Viola Brown Price of Los Angeles, CA; Elsie Doherty Davis and Helen Doherty of Saint Francisville, LA.
