Jules J. Sandras

Jules J. Sandras, a devoted family man, died on May 31, 2024, at the age of 91. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. He was married to Mattie McKneely Sandras until her death in 2019. He is survived by his children Susan S. Creppel (Ross), Jullie Sandras, Jo Burke (Scott), and Jamie Schulte (Randal); loving grandfather to Richele Creppel (Miguel), Carlei Creppel, Brandon Burke (Caroline), Tyler Burke (Brandi), and Randal Schulte, Jr. also 7 great-grandchildren. Jules graduated from Westwego High in 1951 and attended LSU on a football scholarship. He also served in the Marine Corps, where he played football before returning to LSU. He was the president and owner of Loop Linen Service until his retirement in 2003. Outside of his successful career, Jules was a loving father who cherished his four daughters. His boat, The Happy Pappy, was not just a yacht but a source of joy and relaxation for him and his family. His warm and kind-hearted nature touched the hearts of everyone he met, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
