Jules Stann Obituary

STANN Jules Martin Stann, born on the 4th of July 1927, departed this life on Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at the age of 79. Proudly served his country in the United States Army during the KoreanWar. Traveled the world as a lifelong merchant mariner before retiring in 1991. Member of the Seafarers International Union. Son of the late Luciene and Alcide Stann. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Diamond Stann and loving father of Julie Stann Klein. Survived by two sisters, Hazel Stann Brown and Gladys Stann Bishop, and one brother, Vincent Stann and various nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Alcide Stann, Jr., Amelia Stann Hall, Clement Stann and Roy Stann. Grandfather of Ashley A. Allums and great grandfather of Hayes Allums Alford. Father-in-law to Henry L. Klein and good friend to many others. Relatives and friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery), on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
