Julie Ann Foret Townsend

TOWNSEND Julie Ann Foret Townsend, 65 years old of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013, at her residence. Julie was born on Monday, September 13, 1948, in Houma. She was active in the Boy Scouts, American Legion Aux., Veterans of Foreign Wars, Viet Nam Veterans Aux., Disabled Veterans, and a Volunteer at the V.A. Clinic in Hammond. She was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked at Terrebonne General and Lallie Kemp. Surviving are daughters & sons-in-law, LaNette and Ernest Buras, Mary and John Cloud, son & daughter-in-law, David and Bonnie Townsend, grandchildren, Desiree' and Alexis Morris, sisters, Nellie Hernandez, Doris Pearson and Mildred Anderson, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews,. She is preceded in death by husband, Larry Lee Townsend, parents, Etienne Foret and Syntta Rhodes Foret, brothers, Felix and Abby Foret, sisters, Gladys Anderson and Jeanne Mayet. Friends will be received Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond. Services will be held at Funeral Home Chapel - Hammond, Monday, at 7:00 pm, with Deacon Al Levy officiating. Services in Houma on Wednesday are pending, please go to our website for updates. Interment will follow on Wednesday in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Houma, La.
