Kathleen Brophy Obituary
Stony Point - Kathleen L. Brophy, 94, of Stony Point passed away peacefully on October 22, 2018. She was born in Tomkins Cove on March 5, 1924. She married the love of her life James A. Brophy and shared a life together with him for 66 years. She was an excellent and caring nurse who worked for Good Samaritan Hospital for 15 years. Her family was all important to her.
Survivors include 4 sons: James A. Jr. (wife Lynn) of Brielle, NJ; Dennis (wife Laura) of Henderson, NV; Kevin of Michigan and Joseph (wife Maria) of Sloatsburg, NY as well as 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was predeceased by her husband James on September 22, 2018. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Arthur and Edward Langdon; three sisters Madeline Goetschius; Dorothy Larkin and Regina Langdon as well as her granddaughter Amy.
Family will receive relatives and friends at the Edward C. Finn Funeral Home in Stony Point on Friday, October 26th from 3 to 7 PM. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM in St. Peter's and St. Mary's Church, Broadway, Haverstraw, NY with Burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
