It's been many moons since I have seen Kathy, there was a time in our lives we spent almost everyday together. I was married to Allen and she was married to Joey. We shared in our weddings , our joys, birth of babies( Kristen), our families, our loses , our dissapointments, and heartbreaks. She was a good friend with a big heart and we laughed a lot back in the day. I know she will be missed greatly by her girls whom she loved and adored . My condolences to all that love her

Women Veterans of Louisiana salute the military service of Ms. Kathleen Roth in the U.S. Navy. Our prayers are with the family as they mourn the loss of a fine sailor. Here is the poem that we honor our women veterans with:
She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
She proudly served
The Red, White and Blue
She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without hesitation
She joined unselfishly
She did her job well
With honor and pride
And served her great country
With the men alongside
We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes on to glory
After a job well done
And so, our dear sister
We salute you today
A special sailor laid to rest
In this quiet, solemn way
