Larry Reed Obituary

Larry Anthony Reed was born October 5, 1957 to the late Alma Reed and Joseph Frank in Chicago, Ill. He was educated in both Chicago and the Orleans Parish School Systems and was a laborer who worked in construction and welding. Larry was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Larry Anthony "Jacoby" "Chitown" Reed was called by God to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He leaves to cherish precious memories, wife, Theresa Reed; son, Jacoby Reed (Jasmine) and daughter, Delayna Manior Pearson (Kendrick); siblings, Darrin and Leonard Miller, Terry Frank and Carla-Jones Cutno; stepmother, Sharon Frank; grandchildren, Dekayla and Desja Crayton, Terreana and Terrence Durel, Jeremiah and Journee' Reed; great granddaughter, Ti'erone Durel. In addition to his parents, Larry is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Edna Armstrong,; brothers, David Reed and Keith Marshall; son, Terrence Durel, Sr. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of Larry A. Reed will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1 pm. Interment Private.
