Laurie Andrew Bertaut Jr.

Laurie Andrew Bertaut Jr. was welcomed into heaven by his dad Laurie A. Bertaut Sr., his mom Rosine Michelli Bertaut and his son Christopher Matthew Bertaut on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was 77 years old. He was born in Thomasville, Georgia while his dad was in the service of the U.S. Air Force, then became a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. Laurie was a member of the first graduating class of Our Lady of Mercy school in 1958. He graduated from Baton Rouge High School and LSU with a BS in Business Administration. Laurie was one the early pioneers in computer technology and started his own business called Encore Associates, Inc. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Kay Albright Bertaut, 2 sisters Cheryl Bertaut Nolen and Maria Bertaut Price and brother in law Dr. David Price, his three children son Josh Bertaut and wife Jamie Benson Bertaut, and daughters Meg and Beth Bertaut, his grandchildren Lillian, Bronson, Georgia and Olive and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Baton Rouge General Mid City, Bluebonnet and the Butterfly Wing Hospice. He was a good man who is greatly missed by his family and his dogs. But like he would say it's not goodbye, it's simply "check ya later".
