Lawrence Holloway Obituary

HOLLOWAY SGT Lawrence Lee Holloway, 29 years old of Ponchatoula, LA, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Fort Drum in New York. He was born on June 16, 1978 in Metairie, Louisiana. Lee was a graduate from John Curtis Christian School. SGT Holloway deployed to Afghanistan in 2005, a member of C Co, 10th BSTB from Fort Drum. He served as a Health Care Specialist and Emergency Medical Technician giving crucial aid to both American soldiers and Afghan civilians. Surviving are his mother, Cynthia Ledet-Hughes; sister, Angel Holloway Rivera; 2 brothers: Seth Hughes and Chais Hughes; 3 nephews: Conor Rivera, Ethan Rivera and Braden Rivera; grandmother, Enola Jambon Vallee; grandparents: Robert and June Hughes; and many others family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Holloway; step father, Mark S. Hughes; grandparents: Joe and Marcella Holloway; and grandfather, Lloyd Vallee, Sr. Friends will be received Monday, January 28, 2008, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from 8:00 am until the service begins at 11:00 am at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, LA.
