Leigh Jeanne Mabry Baggetta

Leigh Jeanne Mabry Baggetta, age 69, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on December 26, 2020 at home with her family by her side. With a light that refused to be extinguished, Leigh lived life to its fullest and constantly left people feeling better after they spent time with her. Leigh is survived by her husband Ignazio, of Slidell; son Brian and his wife Robyn of Washington, DC; daughter Jessica of Slidell; son Nicholas and his wife Heather of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren Luca, Chiara, and Milo; siblings Jan (George) Bornstein, Chip Mabry, Matt Mabry, and Sean (Dee) Mabry; and the rest of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard E. Mabry Jr. and Joycelyn DiMaggio Mabry. Leigh was born in Houston, Texas to Richard and Joycelyn Mabry on December 27, 1950. She went to high school at Patterson High School and graduated in 1968. She went on to earn a degree in accounting from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and worked as a CPA for more than 45 years. She enjoyed traveling, biking, going to the beach, being with family, cooking, entertaining friends, music, and dancing. She was involved in Habitat for Humanity, PTA, Junior Auxiliary, Women's Health Foundation, and the Louisiana Association of Accountants.
