Lewis Octave Troxclair, Jr. born April 29, 1942 passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Octave Troxclair, Sr. and Juanita Seola Moore; sister, Cynthia Ann Troxclair Whitaker (James). He is survived by his wife, Gail Elizabeth Wool Troxclair; children, Melissa Angelle Troxclair Holladay (Ricky) and Bradley Alan Troxclair (Heather); grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth Troxclair, Isabelle Amelia Troxclair, Lila Alice Troxclair, Holly Elizabeth Troxclair; great grandchildren, Mariah Alexandria Pavon and Malayna Elizabeth Pavon; nieces, Michelle Whitaker Bauer (Roy) and nieces and nephews therefrom; nephews, James Whitaker (Elizabeth) and nieces therefrom. He was a graduate of St. Catherine of Siena Grammar School, Metairie, LA; De La Salle High School, New Orleans. He has an undergraduate degree and post graduate studies in Accounting and Taxation from Louisiana State University New Orleans, and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University Baton Rouge. He is a former Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer of The National Bank of Commerce in Jefferson Parish. He was a Sole Practitioner Certified Public Accountant for 36 years. He was an avid hunter, skeet shooter, and nature photographer. Services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124.
