Liam John Tizzard

Our little prince, Liam John Tizzard, peacefully passed away in the loving arms of his Mom, Allison Tizzard, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Liam, who was born on November 27, 2017, was diagnosed with Trisomy 18. This diagnosis is labeled as being "incompatible with life;" but Liam's life was not a label. His brief little life was full of joy, hope and purpose. The name Liam means "Strong-willed Warrior," a name he represented until the end. He shared his life with us longer than what was predicted, and we are forever grateful for being able to hold him, love him, know him and hold his memory in our hearts forever. Those left to cherish his memory are his Mom, Allison Tizzard; sisters, Hailey Tizzard (Jordan), Carolanne Anderson, Caroline Anderson and Harley Anderson; niece, Sawyer Tizzard; grandparents, Cynthia Gwin (Ralph) and William J. Tizzard, Sr. (Gwyn); uncles, William J. Tizzard, Jr. (Kim), Matthew D. Tizzard, Sr. (Courtney), Lance Ponder, Jr. (Brandy), and Tyler Tizzard; great-grandparents, Robert W. Johnson, Sr. (Mickey), Thomas A. Tizzard, Jr. (Irmgard), and Eileen Curtis; and a host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Liam was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Carol Wilkinson Evans and Harriett Elizabeth Tizzard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
