To Lionel's Family and Friends, I remember Lionel as a classmate from Joseph S. Clark, Class '61, and as one of our outstanding football players. I have not seen him since highschool, but I also share in your sorrow. I pray that God will wrap his arms around you during this sorrowful time.

To Lionel's Family and Friends,
I was so sorry to have received word today about Lionel's passing. You have my deepest sympathy. Lionel and I grew up together just 2 houses from each other on Prieur St. and spent LOTS of time together, including going to "the show" at the Circle Theater on most Sunday afternoons, playing football on Kelerec St. or in the neutral ground on Claiborne St., etc. He was a great friend with whom I unfortunately lost contact over the years other than when I saw him infrequently on visits to New Orleans. I will always remember the gentle giant -- big guy with a big and soft heart especially his beloved cats. Heartfelt prayers.
