Lionel Dixon Obituary

Lionel Dixon, age 81, was born on September 4, 1940 departed this earthly home on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Lionel was a faithful employee of Leidenheimer Baking Company for over 35 years. He was the son of Geneva Allen Dixon and Willie Dixon. Loving and devoted father of Sonia Dixon. Loving grandfather of Casey Meyers and Mya Dixon. Devoted great-grandfather of Kali Meyers. Brother of Diane Dowell. Devoted friends, Harold "Bob" Mitchell, Sr. and Alphonse Henderson. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. Preceded in death by 1 daughter, Veronica Meyers, and 1 granddaughter, Jessika Simone Meyers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA 70056.
