Lois Metz Obituary
Lois A. Metz, a lifetime Toledo resident passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. She was born on June 24, 1945 to Fred and Grace (Grifka) Houck. Lois truly enjoyed her work, as a waitress for various restaurants in the area, including Christopher's and the Mango Tree. She enjoyed playing Bunco and cards, decorating and gardening.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Houck. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 35 years, Richard; stepchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, and Patrick (Dawn); siblings, Janet Janata, Carol Cross, Fred (Sandy) Houck, Joanne (Joseph) Beaucant, Cary (Sara) and John (Kim) Houck; as well as their families.
Services will be private at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. Interment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial tributes may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to her many special friends, especially Karen Bates and Sherry Kachmarik.

Dear Rick,
I can barely imagine the suffering of a loss of a spouse after thirty-five years of marriage. I can only pray that with the passage of time and the remembrance of the happiest times you and Lois spent together, that your pain will ease.

To the Metz family,
I worked with Lois at the Mango Tree and she was such a joy to be around. We were always laughing and having a good time. I really miss those days!
