Audrey Lee Robinson

Audrey Lee Robinson entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the age of 80. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Audrey was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School. She worked as a substitute teacher in Jefferson Parish School System, a pharmacy assistant at Majoria Drugs, a nursing assistant at West Jefferson Medical Center and last Avondale Shipyard in Environmental Services for 26 years where she retired. Beloved mother of the late Engelke Terrell (Pillow) Simmons, and Alfred (Dracey) Simmons. Adopted mother of James P. (Sandra) Simmons, Jr. Loving grandmother of Evangela (Michael), Christopher, Engelke, II, Engelke, III, Tequil, and Angelic. Daughter of the late Junius Robinson, Sr. and Idell Smith Robinson. Granddaughter of the late Robert Smith, Sr., and Mary Washington Smith. Sister of Junius (Delores) Robinson, Jr., Marion F. Simmons, Agnes Castleman of Dallas, TX, Brenda Duplessis, and the late Evelina Robinson, Dorothy Palmer, Moses Francis of Arkansas, and Walter Robinson. Niece of Neola C. Smith. Audrey is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Baptist Church, First King Solomon Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11:00a.m. Rev. Royal A. Jones officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor. Interment: Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery-Ama, LA.
