Lois Weicks Obituary

Lois Babin Weicks passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Wallace W. Weicks and mother of Barbara Beasley and the late Lois Kane. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois was a native of New Orleans, a resident of Jefferson for the past 50 years and a parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church in Harahan for many years. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice as well as her wonderful home sitters for their loving care and concern during this difficult time. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7100 Jefferson Hwy. in Harahan, LA. Visitation will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie from 5 – 7 pm on Wednesday evening, January 20, 2016 and at the church on Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The online guestbook is available at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
