Lola Marin Obituary

Lola Margaret Robichaux Marin passed away on Good Friday, March 25, 2016. She was born in St. Martinville to the late Noe and Elmire Robichaux on January 17, 1927. She married Roy A. Marin in April 1949, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death in 2001. She is survived by their sons, Robert (Peggy) Marin, David (Bonnie) Marin, and Don (Kim) Marin, grandchildren Jefferey Marin, Michelle (Ricky) Hervey, Daniel Marin, Julie Marin, Melissa Marin, Matthew Marin, great granddaughter Allison Hervey, and sister Inez (Maurice) Fournet. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Burna Bernard, and brother James Robichaux. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Lola was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She lived in Metairie since 1966 and was a resident of Metairie Healthcare for the past 17 months and Harmony Hospice for the last 2 months. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers, especially Sherylyn, who took care of Lola. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans on Saturday April 2, 2016 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00AM.
