My deepest condolences go to the whole family--Ms. Haddad and her sister Diana were my piano teachers for two years and changed my life! My dad drove me from our home in Harahan to have lessons at Nicholls St. She helped me tremendously and I'll always be indebted to her.

Loretta was a beautiful lady. The world has lost a great musician. The piano will never sing like that again.

I always enjoyed visiting with and laughing with Loretta when we saw her. Aunt Marguerite was so proud of her accomplishments & I'll always remember she and Diana sharing their talents with Ava Maria at Uncle Starr's funeral. My condolences to the family.

I have many memories of our times together as piano students of Mrs. Farquhard Chauvin --especially playing in Mrs. Chauvin's recitals. I have two granddaughters who are passionate about piano as was Loretta. I've often told them they were "my Lorettas." I am sad at the passing of my friend and neighbor and classmate. My love and sympathy to all her family, especially Diana (who might remember me.)
Love and prayers,

What a lovely lady! I still use the piano techniques she taught me back @ Nicholl's so she lives on in all of my students! Wishing the Haddad family peace and many warm memories...

Cousin Loretta was a sweet and talented woman. I always loved hearing her and her sister, Lisa, joke with each other. They always made me laugh when I saw them together. You will be deeply missed. Love you forever!

"Aunt" Loretta, my heart is breaking at your passing but I find comfort in knowing that you are an angel looking down from above to surely watch over me. My honorary aunt, my confirmation sponsor (your middle name taken as my confirmation name, "Grace") and my supporter of music, you were an intergral part of my life. You were such a spark of life and your vibrant laugh and sense of humor were infectious. You brought so much joy to the special friendship you had with my mother and she loved you so much, so thank you for that. May your beautiful light continue to shine from above and know that I love you and will miss you and find comfort in your sweet memory. And I will listen for your beautiful piano playing from heaven. Peace and love be with you.

She was one in a million. Most classical pianists in the region knew her, studied with her, or were taught by one of her students.
Rest in peace, lovely one.

Prayers for Miss Loretta's family and may she rest in peace. My son, Stephen, took piano lessons from her for many years and we loved her dearly.
