Lorraine S. Rodriguez died as a servant of the Lord on October 8, 2018, at the age of 89. She had a great faith and love for Jesus and her family. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Robert A Rodriguez for 67 years. Dearest mother of Stephanie R. Gioe (Ben), Sherri R. Blanchard, Sheila R. Stanley of Edmond, OK, and Suzanne E. Rodriguez. Beloved Grandmother to John M. Whitney III of Tulsa, OK (Kelly), Jeffrey M. Whitney (Elizabeth), Amanda, Allison, and the late Ray Blanchard, and Tayler and Hannah Stanley of Edmond, OK. "GiGi" to Caroline and Jack Whitney of Tulsa, OK, and Owen Robert Whitney. Daughter of the late Elizabeth Louisa Wertz and Sidney Saucier, and sister of the late Shirley M. and Philip W. Saucier, and Joan S. Fujimoto. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and her "Baby Boy" Thunder. Lorraine had a special charm and collected friends everywhere she went. She was honored with the Order of Saint Louis in recognition of her leadership and dedicated service to the Catholic Church, received the Senior Citizen's Medal, and was an Extraordinary Minister of St. Angela Merici Church. The family would like to thank the "Angels" who have helped to care for her over her last few months; Debra, Betty and Val. Family and friends, members of SALA, St Angela's Young at Hearts, and the 8:30 AM mass family are cordially invited to attend visitation from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Monday, October 15, 2018 and mass following at St Angela Merici Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr in Metairie. Burial will take place in St Louis No. 3, Esplanade Ave, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.
