Angela, Pam, and Family,
I was so saddened to hear that Miss Lorraine has passed away.
There are so many things that I could write about my times/experiences with her from my childhood through adulthood (including the years we worked together at Valena C. Jones). I will summarize it all by saying that Miss Lorraine had a heart of gold...She was Pure LOVE.
I am praying for you all.
Love,
Eva

Mrs. LG Williams was a phenomenal educator. She was my 5th grade teacher at Valena C, Jones elementary school. It is because of her direction, love and care that I decided to be an educator as well. Rest in power, Mrs. LG! Job well done! ❤

I'm so sorry to hear about her passing. Mrs. Williams was my 5th grade teacher in '89-'90 at Valena C. Jones. She was such a caring and loving teacher! I even became a teacher too! I know that teaching can seem like a thankless job sometimes and there was no real way to keep in touch post-Katrina, but I hope she knew what an impact she had on so many students. I was blessed to have her as a teacher. May she rest in peace.

Angela, Pam and Family,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother. Ms. Lorraine was truly a wonderful person. She taught many children and made an impact on their lives. She was like a second mother to me and a friend to my aunt for many years. I am sure she is having a Xavier reunion with the gang in heaven. May she rest in eternal peace with our heavenly Father.

Pamela and Family,
I remember your mother from Valena C Jones School many many years ago, and you were there with me( Schelita) and my sister (Lona). Your mother was always a very sweet lady unless you did not behave well in school, but back then all our teachers were very strict and took there jobs very serious and made sure each student that pass though those doors were taught the best ever. My condolences to you and your family. I have nothing but awesome memories of those days in school. May she rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the family. Ms. Lorraine will always hold a special place in my heart. She was a long time friend of my mother. They shared an endearing friendship for many years. That special friendship was then passed on to me. I will hold the long distance calls, the thoughtful cards, and the face to face visits we shared as precious and priceless moments. Rest in peace my friend. I'll miss you.
Love, Cecile Peters
