Dear Loretta;

I just heard the very sad news about your Dear Lowell. I am so grateful to have visited with Lowell and yourself and the whole family many years back. What a guy he was. Probably one of the kindest men I have ever known.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Mr. Lowell was always a sweet gentle friend from New Vision Church. I remember he would greet me with a cute smile and a puckered up kiss on the cheek. You are greatly missed and I will see you in heaven. Nelson and I will help keep an eye on Loretta.

I WORKED WITH LOWELL IN NEW ORLEANS FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS AND IT WAS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO BE IN HIS COMPANY. HE WAS AS RELIABLE AS THE SUNRISE AND I NEVER HEARD HIM COMPLAIN, NOT EVEN ABOUT THE WEATHER.. I NEVER HEARD HIM SPEAK ILL OF ANYONE. ACTUALLY, I SELDOM HEARD HIM SPEAK. LIKE MOST FRUGAL GERMAN FARMERS, LOWELL WASTED NOTHING, INCLUDING WORDS. ANOTHER ONE OF THE "GOOD GUYS" IS GONE. RIP "HOOK",
