Mack Arthur Baggett

Mack Arthur Baggett, 80, long time resident of Abilene passed away July 24, 2012 in Ballinger, Texas while in the care of Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street,

Mack was born February 9, 1932 to Arthur and Rachel Baggett in Abilene, Texas and graduated from Abilene High School in 1950. Mack was calf roper and loved to rodeo. Even in his later years, he continued to compete in the senior events. He was a Real Estate Broker, and sold many Farms and Ranches in the Big Country. He was a member of the Hamby Methodist Church and was a Mason.

Mack is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Jackson Baggett and his mother, Rachel Agnes Tolle Baggett.

He is survived by his two sons, Fred Baggett and Clay Baggett; his daughter-in-law, Heidi Baggett; two grandchildren, Cole Baggett and Hayden Baggett.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be given to American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society.

My husband and Mack were very good friends and he was a good friend to me. I always loved to watch them rope and ride. He will be missed.

Mack and I grew up together. We played in the land behind the Baggett home many times.

He will be missed very much.
